I avoid all the problems above by having developed an allergy to wedding bands.

Other than dust and occasionally being annoyed with me disappearing into the shop, I have never gotten in trouble. In fact, without her I would not know all you folks. I had long been fascinated with how stringed instruments went together and secretly wanted to make one. It always seemed to me like something people just didn't do; it never occurred to me that mere mere mortals were making instruments well before factories were turning them out. I confessed this desire to my (then) fiance and she asked "Well then why don't you?" Having heard it put to me like that, I didn't have an answer so I bought some wood, chisels and a small plane then set out to learn about woodworking. She even surprised me with my copy of C&N's Guitarmaking Tradition and Technology. I'm so grateful, I try to stay out of trouble.

I'm pretty dam sure it was my money that bought the clothes iron. You'd think that would count for something...

I bought a Wells/Karol jig from the classifieds yesterday from Danny V. My wife saw the quilted maple B&S set he was selling and said it was too nice to pass up, and that I had better buy that too! :D I think I know whats going on:
I build a guitar, then I build a dining room set. I build a guitar, then I renovate our ensuite. I build a guitar, then a new bedroom suite. If I build 8 guitars, I'll have a new house. Nobody ever said building your own guitars would be cheap! laughing6-hehe

A woman is on trial for beating her husband to death with his guitar collection.
The judge says "First offender?"
She says, "No, first a Gibson, then a Fender!"
